QUETTA: SSP Sariab Division Naseebullah Khan has said that as many as 163 accused were arrested during the past two months who were wanted to police in heinous crimes and has also acquired data of five thousand families living in rented homes.
He said this while addressing to a press conference here on Sunday at Sariat Police Station. He said that Police have also recovered hashish in huge quantity, adding that the Sariab Police have carried out operations against the criminal elements in an active way and have arrested 88 attempt of murder, absconder and wanted accused in March while number of such accused arrested in April is 75. He said that among the arrested accused four were wanted in cases of target killing who are under investigation.
Responding to a question, he said that data of five thousand people has been compiled who reside in the rented homes. He said that Police conducted a raid last night in Killi Geo and recovered huge cache of hashish from an house and arrested a person identified as Abdul Baqi who would bring hashish from Gulistan and sale, adding that a vehicle stolen was also recovered last night. He said that the registration of people living in rented homes is being carried out under National Action Plan. Responding to yet another question, he said that street crime have been reduced in Sariab considerably and more steps are being taken in this regard so that the life and property of the masses.
