House-to-house checking in Killi Deeba launched

QUEETTA: Frontier Corps Balochistan Commander Quetta Brigadier Khalid Baig said that Frontier Corps personnel along with police launched a search operation in Kili Deeba and adjoining areas to ensure security of citizens’ lives and consolidate peace in the locality.

The operation involves more than 3,000 personnel and 208 teams, including 208 ladies personnel. Collecting information after checking house to house and after clearing the area, it will be monitored by 9 check posts and 36 CCTV cameras.

Keeping in view the difficulties of local people hailing to the area, more than 2500 and 6 Medical Camps have been set up in the area where the residents have been provided medical facilities and medicines in which doctors’ teams are working in areas. Meanwhile Gifts were distributed to people in the areas and houses where the operation is being completed.

Operation was started seizing the 300 square kilometers area, which will continue for the next 24 hours.

He expressed these views while talking to the media persons at Sector Headquarter Help Center a day ago and informed the media about the details of the medical camps established in the areas of operation for the people.

Brigadier Khalid Baig added that Frontier Corps and Police personnel have conducted search operation in various areas, including Kili Deeba, Baloch Colony, Railway Colony, Wahdat Colony on the last night at 3 o clock following recent incidents of targeted killings and bombings in Quetta. The search operation has been started by blocking all the adjoining areas.

He said that Frontier Corps and police are playing their role in ensuring the protection of lives of citizens. He said that the area of operation is about 1 million inhabitants and there are 7,500 houses. Finger prints of all the people living in the area would be verified by NADRA whereas suspected people have also been arrested who had carried subversive activities and were living here as shelter. Banned organizations were increasing their headlines from the same area.

In response to a question, he said that two intelligence-based operations are being carried out daily; there are threats to the Marriabad and Hazara Town, which is why there is a risk of supplying equipment and other vehicles to monitor them. Stickers are being issued in this regard.

In response to another question, he said India while spending of $ 44 million in Balochistan wants to destabilize the province through banned organizations, but intelligence agencies, Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Police and other law enforcement agencies are foiling their conspiracies.

In response to another question, he said that operation is underway in the area and after its gets completed, all the figures will be shared with the media that how much success we had achieved.
