QUETTA: Two Pakistani nationals were killed and five others were arrested when Iran’s border security forces acted against a group of people allegedly trying to enter into Iran illegally.
According to security officials, on the border with Pakistan, near border pillar No. 247, Pakistan and Iran were present when a group consisting of fifteen people belonging to different cities of Pakistan was illegally entering Iran. The Iranian Border Force fired on the people who crossed the border illegally, killing two people. Iranian Force arrested 5 people while remaining 8 people disappeared after entering Iranian boundaries.
According to reports, Iranian authorities have handed over bodies and arrested people to Pakistan Levies Force. Iranian authorities said the incident took place on April 12.
Levies officials shifted the bodies to the District Head Quarter Hospital, Gwadar, where decease were identified as Shahzeb Khan Wali 27, son of Farzand Ali Khan, and Omar 27, Omar Sadiq, son of Allah dad, Both belong to Bannu.
The arrested five were moved to Gwadar, where they name as, Wahid Khan, Shah Fayyaz Khan and Saifullah Khan belong to the city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sagar belonged to Karachi and Muhammad Maqam belonged to Jhang in Punjab.
There is no information about the eight missing Pakistanis. This is the second incident during a month. Earlier, two Pakistani youths, who were illegally going to Turkey to travel from Iran, were killed by the Iranian forces. Lakht Abbas and Sarfraz was the resident of Gujranwala district of Punjab. On March they traveled to Iran with 13 group members. The group also included the Afghani family. 11 people of this group are still missing. Every year thousands of people from Pakistan and Afghanistan illegally travel to Iran from to Europe for finding job. Last year, 20 people belong to Punjab were killed by banned organization in Turbat after kidnapped.
