A man shot, hurt in sectarian terror attack

QUETTA: Gunmen sprayed bullets on a taxi carrying ethnic Hazaras at 2nd stop of Brewary Road injuring one passenger on Saturday morning.

According to Police, a cab carrying two Hazara passengers came under attack after gunmen riding on motorbike opened fire near 2nd stop of Brewary Road.

As result of firing, a man belonged go Hazara community sustained injuries and the other narrowly escaped the attack while the attackers managed to escape.

Rescue workers and Police reached the crime scene and the injured had been taken to Bolan Medical College Complex for treatment.

“The Taxi was in-route to Hazara Town from Alamdar Road when the attackers opened fire. Fortunately one man escaped the attack and the other was hit by a bullet.”Ashiq Hussain Station House Officer Brewary Police Station said and added initial investigation suggested that it was a sectarian targeted attack.

Police have lodged a First Information Report against unknown persons commencing investigation.
