Election 2018: MMA, BNP agree on seat adjustment in khuzdar

QUETTA: Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) and Mutahida Majlis Amal (MMA) have announced election alliance on National and Provincial Assembly seats from Khuzdar after successful negotiation, here on Sunday night.

The BNP-Mengal Chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal held negotiation with Maulana Qamar-ud-Din Naib Emir of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) and after discussing election matters announced that BNP-Mengal and MMA would contest upcoming election jointly in Khuzdar district.

Speaking at a joint Press Conference, they said that though this election alliance would be Khuzdar district but efforts we would make efforts to extend such alliance in other areas of the province.

They said that according to the decision, BNP-Mengal would contest election on National Assembly seat from Khuzdar and Provincial Assembly seat from Wadh while MMA put its candidates from Khuzdar-Naal and Zehri-Mola constituencies of Provincial Assembly.

Sardar Mengal and Maulana Qamar-Ud-Din said that JUI-F and BNP-Mengal had contested election in 2002 under the alliance and that remained successful and once again, we entered in an election alliance that would also prove successful.” The alliance had reached many days back between both parties but we did not disclose due to some reason,” they said.

They said that we are putting joint candidate and workers of both parties would launch election campaign jointly. “Our workers will visit every home for convening and would inform the voters that we are contesting election jointly,” Sardar Mengal said.

Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal said that our alliance would not restrict up to election. “This alliance will continue for launching joint struggle for the restoration of peace, achieving the rights of Balochistan and other issues,” he said. He said that our doors are not closed for other parties, other partiers could also join our alliance,” Sardar Mengal.
