QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai on Wednesday said, connectivity between Gawadar and Chahbahar ports could strengthen Pak-Iran’s prolonged brotherly relations.
“Both Islamic countries have similar traditions and culture which magnetic Pak-Iran relations, while both countries have been utilizing their utmost efforts for restoring peace in the region.” Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai said while addressing an Aftar Dinner hosted by Iranian Council General Muhammad Rafi in Quetta.
The central leader of BNP Nawabzada Haji Lashkari Raisani, Advocate Genreal Balochistan Rauf Atta Advocate, JI’s Provincial Ammer Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, Allama Jumma Asadi, Mayor Quetta Dr. Kaleemullah Kakar, and other political and religious leaders have attended the Aftar dinner.
Sharing his views on the geographical importance of Gawadar and Chahbahar Ports Governor Achakzai said, connectivity between Gawadar and Chahbahar will boost economic trade between both Islamic countries and will strengthen relations,
“During all woes Pakistan and Iran have always helped each other, because we both Islamic countries have similar cultures, people living whether on each side of border following similar tradition and norms.” Governor Muhammad Achakzai said.
He added, as compare with previous years, Pakistan and Iran have increase economical trade up to more than one billion dollar and we seek to increase bilateral trade further.
“Iran has a prolong sea and land border with Balochistan and most of the trade aimed both countries have been relying on road and railway, and Balochistan is gateway for Iranian trade.” Governor Balochisan said.
