QUETTA: The Election Tribunal of Balochistan High Court on Tuesday disqualified PTI’s Provincial Chief Sardar Yar Muhammd Rind and PPP Provincial President Ali Madad Jattak from contesting general elections.
Hearing the petitions filed by Election candidates the Balochistan High Court two members bench comprising on Justice Hashim Kakar and Justice Ejaz Sawati has barred PTI Provincial Chief Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind and PPP’s Provincial President Ali Madad Jattak from contesting general elections.
Citing the fake degree and murder cases against Mr. Rind, the appellate tribunal on Tuesday disqualified PTI Provincial President and rejected his plea seeking permission from the courts to allow him to contest election from PB 17 and NA 260 Kachi/Jhal Magsi.
“Our opponents are afraid of their defeat in coming elections which is for they have been applying grotesque tactics against me and my father.” Sardar Khan Rind son of Yar Muhammad Rind said while talking to media after his nomination papers were accepted by the court.
The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday released assets’ details of Politicians and Parliamentarians of Balochistan among PTI’s Provincial Chief is the richest figure with having assets of more than 500 million rupees.
In a separate hearing the Appellate Tribunal has disqualified PPP Provincial President Haji Ali Madad Jattak from contesting general elections citing murder cases against Mr. Jattack.
The BHC’s tribunal has rejected Ali Madad Jattack’s plea against Election Commission and barred him from contesting elections due on July 25.
Both disqualified candidates have announced to file their petitions in Balochistan High Court against the decision of appellate tribunal.
Expelling hearsay regarding PTI’s chief lifetime disqualification Babar Yousafzai provincial spokesman PTI Balochistan said, rumors regarding Mr.Rind’s lifetime disqualification are baseless and false,
“We had application in Election Tribunal regarding ECP’s rejection, but now we have decided to knock the doors of Balochistan High Court regarding Mr. Rind’s disqualification from contesting general elections 2018.” Babar Yousafzai added.
