CHAGAI: At Least two people were dead and eight injured after a pick-up carrying passengers toppled down in Lagap area of District Chaghi on Tuesday.
According to Levis, an over speed pick-up carrying passengers overturned in Lagap area of Pak-Iran bordering town Chaghi, leaving one teacher named Lal Muhammad and his son dead and eight injured.
The injured and dead were evacuated to the Prince Fahad Hospital Chaghi for medical treatment and the bodies of teacher and his son had been handed over to the heirs for burial.
“The accident occurred due to reckless driving and over speeding by the driver, who was dropping the children and teacher from school.” Levis said adding investigation are underway.
Balochistan has a high number of mortalities in road accidents due to reckless driving by passenger coaches and pick-up’s drivers. A study revealed that more people have died in road accidents then bomb blasts in Balochistan since last one decade.
