Security personnel martyred in Turbat gun attack

QUETTA: A security official was martyred in an armed attack carried out unknown armed men in main Turbat Bazaar, on Saturday.

Police said that unknown armed men riding motorcycle suddenly opened fire using automatic weapons near Makan Hotel in Turbat Bazaar targeting security personnel of Frontier Corps.
The security personnel received multiple bullet injuries and succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The assailants managed to escape from the site after firing.

Police and FC personnel rushed to the site and shifted the body to district hospital Turbat. The man who died in the attack was identified as Hakim Jan. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace out the militants involved in the armed attack.
Police termed attack as target killing. No one has claimed responsibility of the attack.

Meanwhile, body off a 70 year old man was recovered from Bal-Nigore area of Kech district. He was identified as Doost Muhammad who was missing since last 29 days. Hospital officials said that he was died of starvation and thrust.
