Baloch youth forced disappeared from Quetta, Balochistan

Quetta: Noor Khan S/O Kahoor Khan is reported to have been forcibly disappeared from Quetta city on Monday allegedly by the personnel of state security forces.

The missing student’s friends have flagged up his case of disappearance on the social media demanding his immediate and safe release from the authorities.

Noor Khan who has been identified, as a resident of Shapuk, Turbat had recently graduated from the University of Balochistan.

Various independent human rights groups have time and again criticized the state authorities of Pakistan of using enforced disappearances as a tool to contain the political dissent in Balochistan. However, in the absence of international intervention in this matter, the practice of enforced disappearances by the security forces of Pakistan remains far from seeing an end.
